In March 2014, the municipal assembly of Pirot, Serbia, voted in favor of developing a local action plan for gender equality. A key component was to implement Serbia's national action plan activities at the local level. This guide was produced as part of the “Localization of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325: Women, Peace and Security in the Republic of Serbia” project conducted by Association Women of the South from Pirot, Association Dea Dia, and the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders.
